Be careful not to scrub or rub the bleach as this could worsen the stain. Mix tsp of mild dish soap with 1 cup of warm water. Since bleach strips the color from carpet fibers the most effective way to get a bleach stain out of a carpet is to act quickly when the spill occurs. Rinse the bleach stain using a sponge and warm water.

Pour the solution over the bleach stain and let sit for about 5 minutes. Blot up the wet bleach with a cold damp towel then pour warm soapy water over the area. Cut some carpet fibers from a hidden area of the floor. Instead it strips the dye out of the carpet fibers leaving a mark.
